Welcome pack for new clients: what to include, what it costs and how to turn it into more sign-ups.

The short answer: one, two or three products with your logo that new clients will use in class, starting with a pair of grip socks at around €6.95 per client. Announced before sign-up, the pack becomes a reason to join today.

The moment clients sign up is when they trust your studio most and pay the closest attention to detail. A welcome pack with your logo makes the most of that moment in three ways: it gives them a concrete reason to sign up, it leaves a memory linked to your brand, and it goes out into the world with them as advertising, class after class. This guide covers what to include, what it costs per client and how to build it into your pricing so it isn't an expense.

Short answer

A welcome pack for new Pilates or yoga clients contains one, two or three products with your studio's logo that they'll use in class: a pair of grip socks as the base (around €6.95 per client); socks and a tote bag for an intermediate pack (around €13.45); and socks, a tote bag and a tumbler for a complete pack (around €24.45). You build the cost into the sign-up fee, the first month or a welcome bundle. The logo is woven or embroidered into the socks, never printed, and the mockup is free and arrives within 24 hours.

Why sign-up is the best moment to give a gift

A gift at sign-up has an effect that a later gift doesn't: it becomes linked to the decision to trust you. Clients remember that gesture every time they put on the socks, and that memory helps keep them coming back. Increasing client retention by just 5% can raise profits by up to 95%, and a consistent brand, inside and outside the studio, is part of why people stay (source: Bain & Company / Harvard Business Review).

The pack works outwards too. 85% of people remember the brand of a product they've worn, so every sock, tumbler or tote bag with your logo is advertising that walks around on its own, without a euro spent on ads (source: ASI Global Advertising Impressions Study, 2026). A new client carrying your tote bag down the street is the best possible introduction to your studio for the next one.

What to include in the welcome pack: three levels (example)

These three levels are examples. The costs are the approximate wholesale prices of the products, excluding VAT, and each total is the sum of those prices.

Level (example)ContentsApprox. cost per client (excl. VAT)When it makes sense
BasicGrip socks€6.95For every new client, all year round: they need them for their first class
IntermediateSocks + tote bag€13.45Pre-sale, founding-member plan or open day
CompleteSocks + tote bag + tumbler€24.45Annual or higher-priced plans, where the pack is part of the value

Why grip socks come first

In reformer and mat classes, grip socks are essential. New clients need them from their very first class, so giving them a pair meets a real need at the exact moment it arises, and means they're wearing your logo in the studio from day one. The rest of the pack adds perceived value; the socks add everyday use.

How to build the cost into your pricing: the pack isn't an expense

The welcome pack is part of the cost of acquiring each client, and it has an advantage over any ad: you know exactly what it costs per client before you start. Three common ways to build it in:

  1. In the sign-up fee. If you charge one, the pack justifies it: clients get something tangible in return.
  2. In the first month or a welcome bundle. The first month's price includes the pack; from the second month, the standard price applies.
  3. In annual or higher-priced plans. The complete pack is part of the plan's value and helps clients choose the longer commitment.

One important detail: the same order does two jobs. Of an order of 50 pairs, some go into the welcome packs and the rest are sold at reception for €19.95, the recommended retail price. After VAT (21% in this example) and your cost, you keep around €9.54 per pair, and that margin pays for the pairs you give away. VAT, and so the exact margin, varies by country.

Common welcome pack mistakes

How it works and when to order

  1. Send us your logo and request your free mockup. You'll receive it within 24 hours, with a quote for the combination of products you want.
  2. Choose how the logo goes on the socks: woven or embroidered, never printed. Your brand colour is matched exactly to its Pantone code.
  3. Approve the mockup and the quote. Only then does your order go into production.
  4. Production and delivery: around 4 weeks after you approve the quote and pay, with free shipping across Europe.

Minimum order: 50 pairs of socks. For tumblers, tote bags and Pilates rings, the quantity is set in your quote. All materials are tested to REACH, the EU standard, including the grip sole.

Frequently asked questions

01What should a welcome pack for new Pilates clients include?

Start with a pair of grip socks with your studio's logo, because new clients need them for their first class. For an intermediate pack, add a tote bag; for a complete pack, a tote bag and a tumbler. The logo is woven or embroidered into the socks, never printed.

02How much does a welcome pack with my studio's logo cost?

Around €6.95 per client for grip socks, around €13.45 for socks and a tote bag, and around €24.45 for socks, a tote bag and a tumbler. These are wholesale prices, excluding VAT; the mockup and shipping are free.

03Is a welcome gift better than a discount?

Yes, a gift with your studio's logo. A discount lowers the perceived value of your studio and is soon forgotten; a gift raises it, gets used in every class and keeps advertising your brand outside the studio.

04How do I cover the cost of the pack if I give it away?

Build its cost into the sign-up fee, the first month or the annual plan. On top of that, the same 50-pair order covers both the packs and sales at reception at €19.95 per pair, so the margin on the pairs you sell helps pay for the ones you give away.

05How long does it take and what is the minimum order?

The free mockup arrives within 24 hours; production and shipping take around 4 weeks from approval. The minimum order is 50 pairs of socks; for tumblers, tote bags and Pilates rings, the quantity is set in your quote.

06Do you ship outside Spain?

Yes. Most of the studios we work with are in Spain and elsewhere in Europe, and shipping is free across Europe, including the UK. For UK orders, import VAT and duties may apply.

Turn every sign-up into a brand moment.

No commitment. You'll have the design with your real logo within 24 hours, then you decide.
